Judges decision on the request from Silva's attorney to allow Keanu's deposition to be open to the public.

Keanu Reeves' next court date will remain just that, his own. It will NOT be open to the public and will be kept private.
Judge Grimes has granted the Keanu's request to seal the transcript and tape of his deposition pertaining to a paparazzo's negligence lawsuit against Keanu on anything pertaining what was said regarding the accounts of that day, deeming it a "reasonable request.
The Judge also wans all to abide by the ruling by saying this: "I expect everyone to comply in good faith," Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elizabeth A. Grimes said Monday. and added : "I do not view this as an attempt by the defense (Keanu's defense) to take unfair advantage of the plaintiff.
Reeves' attorney had argued that, if a video of the Question & Answer session got out, it would "undoubtedly be analyzed frame by frame in an attempt to embarrass Mr. Reeves.

Just a Thought / NOTE from Me: Personally agree with this. It would make Silva happy to "get back" at Keanu for not getting to be able to get the pictures he wanted to take that day if Keanu did not get away from him. I believe that he would not only want to never have to work again and to attempt to embarrass him in any way possible .

Joseph Farzam, who's representing shutterbug Alison Silva. Obviously trying his hardest to allow the Deposition to be public... said that the public was unlikely to give Reeves the fine-tooth comb treatment reserved for celebs such as "Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and Anna Nicole Smith." went on to say: The Street Kings star is "certainly not more important than the president of the United States," Farzam argued.
But, per Judge Grimes' order, only the warring parties' lawyers and expert witnesses will have access to the depo transcripts and an unnamed third party will hang onto the tape to insure it's confidentiality and safe keeping.
Silva sued Reeves in November (Note:it took 7+ months for him to file) for unspecified damages, claiming that "in a sudden, erratic and dangerous manner" Reeves hit him with his Porsche in March 2007 while pulling out of a parking space in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., leaving him with "serious injuries to body and severe shock and injuries to the nervous system and person, all of which...have caused and continue to cause Plaintiff great mental, physical and nervous pain and suffering.
The case is scheduled to go to trial Oct. 27, but the Judge expressed her belief that "the two sides will settle up before then.

...Silva also has a still-pending $25,000 complaint against Keanu Reeves, whom he sued for negligence in November, claiming the actor struck Silva with his vehicle in March 2007, according to court documents. Silva told MTV News he suffered a serious injury to his left wrist, for which he's had one surgery and was scheduled for a second surgery next week. Silva said he's postponing that surgery in light of recent events.

I saw a vid of Keanu with KARINA attempting to drive out of parking space while some paps were surrounding them. I think this is uncalled for. Karina then yells from car to tell PAPARAZZI "ILL HIT YOU"...as she pull out of parking space. How horrible! This should not be allowed. They should have telephoto lenses and stay safe distance away.
