I'm not trying to be rude but why is it taking people in Hollywood, and elsewhere, so long to bury the dead. I just saw on CNN that there's a Walter Cronkite memorial today. Walter Cronkite died on July 17th, 2009. Today is Sept. 9, 2009.
Michael Jackson died June 25, 2009, and it took them 10 weeks to bury Michael Jackson's body. Now there's ANOTHER memorial/tribute that is being planned for him in the near future.
These are NOT the only two celebrities that it's taking forever to bury and do memorials too. There are a few others. Again, I don't mean to sound rude but why do they take so long?

Usually, in the normal world, when a relative or friend dies, their is a wake before the funeral, which the funeral is held not long after and then that's it.
I don't think I would want to take 10 weeks to bury someone I knew and then continue to make looong tributes/memorials to them. I know they're famous, but still. I wouldn't want to do that with a famous friend or famous family member of mine.
