Amy Winehouse is writing lyrics about cooking and her childhood for her third album, it has been claimed.
Her previous album, Back to Black, largely dealt with her fractious relationship with husband Blake Fielder-Civil, who is currently serving time in London’s Pentonville prison.
According to a report in the Daily Mirror, the singer is keen to recapture her childhood for the forthcoming record.
The lyrics to one unnamed track are: “I can cook, chicken soup, meatballs, a good chicken - jerk and fried.”http://icydk.com/2008/08/04/amy-winehouse-to-sing-about-cooking-on-her-new-album/
A source told the newspaper: “She’s working on one track which talks about her upbringing as a Jewish girl.
“The song brings her back to happier days when she didn’t have a care in the world.”
